Jing Gong G608 is one of the best AEG Guns I ever bought and have a chance to shoot with. For those that don’t know AEG means Airsoft Electric Gun. My brother also have this gun so i can tell you that we are very happy to have one of these.
Jing Gong G608 is made for fun. It is a very strong gun with great range and when you hit your opponent he or she will definitely feel that hit. It is made for dominating on the field and with practice you will have opportunity to be Monster Airsoft Player. I simply love this gun because it is very easy to handle and it is very accurate. We both did some testing and we even have a competition between us in shooting Coca Cola can. Well, it doesn’t have to be a Coca Cola can, I’m just saying. Stick with me and read more about this great gun.
Jing Gong G608 is made from high quality plastic materials and strength is just like on Classic Army G36 (expensive AEG) and slightly darker in color than CA who is more gray. Regardless of the fact that the Jing Gong G608 is plastic, it’s extremely robust and has no squeaks or clanking. It has small and compact folding, but slightly “futuristic”. Finishing is not so bad compare to the more expensive replicas. Jing Gong G608 doesn’t come with side rails. Entire section about folding stock is metal and regardless if the stock is folded or not it has no wobble. Last part of the stock is from hard rubber and has very nice grip on the shoulder.
Replica is almost full plastic, although there are also metal parts which are:
- Flash hider
- Lower rail mount
- Front sling hook
- Back and front sight
- Fire selectors on both sides
- Button and pins on the butt stock.
I didn’t open the gun or the gearbox and not intend to do that very soon. After you shout trough it a bit more balls it is recommended to put metal bushings spring guide and the piston cap with bearings, purely as a precaution.
I configured hop up with 0,25g BB’s and I did not even spray it with a silicone spray (what I should btw). After some testing I came to the conclusion that it shoots for about 360-370 Fps. Both sides of Coca-Cola can get pierced like a joke, and shooting into the bottom of the can it regularly make a small hole or stuck in can (used 0,20g BB’s).
Jing Gong G608 Shooting Range and Testing
Shooting range stunned me. With 0,25g BB’s Jing Gong G608 shoots about 60-70 meters like piece of cake and force the enemy into the shelter. With much of hop up with 0,20g BB’s it goes even further but much more imprecise. Otherwise is very precise.
Now and then every 15 BB strays, but then use silicon spray and the problem is solved.
From standing position with 0,25g BB’s and on semi auto control shoots into the 0.5 l Coca Cola can:
- 20m shoots 9 of 10 times
- 30m shoots 6 of 10 times
- 40m shoots 2-3 of 10 times
But that is more because of my trembling hand. Performance and accuracy are at least for two spears longer than CA G36C. Rate of Fire is more than enough, 8.4V battery and 360 Fps.
Jing Gong G608 Magazine
Jing Gong G608 magazine is plastic, big, sits perfect in mag-well and has no wobble. Just like the gun sturdy and it appears it will not break. It can hold approximately 450 BB’s. Which is OK for me.
However, I do recommend at least one more magazine because you don’t want to lose your time on filling the magazine during the fight.
Jing Gong G608 Battery
The battery is great. When I receive the gun and the battery I didn’t charge the battery immediately but I did some shoot outs and still shoot about 300 BB’s before I totally discharge it. In my case, charging time is about 7 hours. During the charging process, charger become warm but you don’t have to panic, it is perfectly natural (no fear of fire). Battery also gets a little warm in last hour of charging but nothing horrible.
After charging I didn’t shoot for two days and then I use the gun on the fight and it shoots more than 1800 BB’s and still didn’t show any sign of lassitude. I get one more battery (same as I get with the gun) and use it with stock charger for about 6 months and still work perfect.
Jing Gong G608 Pros & Cons
- The quality of materials
- Performance generally
- Fire selector make the click
- Fuse and battery compartment
- Flash-hider have half of mm wobble (insensibly, but to me irritating)
- Finishing in some molding places
- Top rail is not metal
- Color can be easily scratch from the metal parts
- On the rear sight both holes are same diameter
Gun is poorly balanced, most of the weight of battery is forward and I would not like to stand all day with this gun without the sling. Luckily it is not long, because if it longer the problem would be expressed. Mag is very big, and those tentacles on the side of the mag (they are used to merge more mags together) stumbling into a vest when replacing mag. This can be fixed with PP mag-well for m16 mags. It don’t have rear left side sling hook for the lefties so that’s why they need to improvise.

Jing Gong G608 Conclusion Time
Jing Gong G608 is a very good AEG rifle, the price and proportion invested/given is excellent. It is robust, have fire selector from both sides regardless if you are left hand or right hand and don’t have that “groove” for the thumb on the handle for example G3. I recommend you to buy extra magazine and also speed loader so you lose a very small amount of time in filling the magazine. Me and my brother are very happy with this gun, although we both have few other models G608 is one of our favorites. The best place for me to buy is always Amazon, handling and shipping was fast and also i get great offer of some extra items, like extra magazine or plastic airsoft BB.
